According to a press release shared with What Now, Longchamp plans to open its first store at Fashion Valley. The new location will add another luxury retailer to the shopping center at 7007 Friars Road in San Diego’s Mission Valley neighborhood.
Founded in Paris in 1948, Longchamp remains privately owned by the Cassegrain family. The company is known for its leather goods, handbags and travel accessories. Its assortment also includes luggage, small leather goods, shoes, ready-to-wear clothing and other accessories.
What Now San Diego reached out to Longchamp representatives for information about the store’s opening timeline but did not receive a response before publication. An exact opening date has not been announced, and details about the store’s size and placement within the mall have not been disclosed.
Although Longchamp products are already available through department-store retailers at Fashion Valley, the planned opening would give the brand a dedicated location in San Diego.
Fashion Valley is home to luxury retailers including Dior, Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Cartier. Longchamp is among several brands expected to arrive at the shopping center as it continues to attract new retail concepts.
Fendi is scheduled to open its only San Diego location at the mall in December, according to previous What Now coverage. What Now has also reported on J.Crew’s planned return to Fashion Valley with a redesigned store, as well as SKIMS’ first storefront in San Diego County.
