Hooky Entertainment Nashville announced that Soundproof, an intimate, music-driven speakeasy and cocktail bar, will open Thursday, Oct. 29, inside Hooky at Nashville Yards. Inspired by Music City’s golden age, Soundproof will offer inventive cocktails, curated light bites and live entertainment in an intimate setting designed for lingering evenings. Reservations will be available through Resy

“Hooky is an entertainment destination for people to ditch the everyday, and Soundproof adds another dimension to that,” said CEO Charlie Tiantawach in a statement. “Soundproof gives a more intimate option for guests who want to settle in with a cocktail, listen to great music and enjoy a different side of Hooky.”

Soundproof is designed to transport guests into the atmosphere of a legendary recording session from Music City’s golden age. Hidden behind the arcade lights of Hooky Nashville, the intimate speakeasy trades the energy of the larger entertainment venue for moody interiors, curated live performances and an elevated cocktail program. The experience begins before guests even enter the space. An unmarked door beneath an illuminated “Recording in Progress” sign in the cinema concourse leads guests through a series of clues involving hanging microphones and a mixing board. Pulling the correct microphone projects a code onto the wall, which guests enter into a PIN pad built into the mixing board.

Once inside, the cocktail program takes center stage with inventive pours and distinctive presentations inspired by the art of the craft. Signature cocktails include Fool’s Gold, a tribute to Elvis’s favorite sandwich, made with peanut butter tequila, Combier Liqueur de Banane and a graham cracker rim; Slow Fade, our trapped-smoke Manhattan made with Nelson Brothers Rye, Luxardo cherry liqueur and chocolate bitters; and White Noise, a delicate drink that will keep you coming back for more, made with Cazadores Blanco Tequila, Kōloa Pandan Liqueur and Bitter Bianco. A curated selection of wines, bubbles and Belgian-style beers will also be available.

Soundproof’s food menu will feature elevated small plates designed for sharing and pairing with cocktails and live music, including champagne-whipped deviled eggs, French onion meatballs, cremini and Gruyère tarts, beef Wellington bouchées, burrata and a plateau de charcuterie. Desserts will include beignets and tableside campfire s’mores.

The entertainment lineup at Soundproof will include intimate acoustic sets, DJs and laid-back music. Rather than functioning as a traditional live music venue, Soundproof will be a listening room where guests can settle in and enjoy the music. The space will also be available for private events and gatherings.

Soundproof will be open from 4 to 11 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 to 11 p.m. Sunday. The speakeasy will be closed Monday and Tuesday. Reservations are available through Resy, with walk-ins welcomed based on availability. Soundproof is a 21-and-over venue.
