MOSCOT is preparing to open a store at the Henderson Avenue mixed-use development in Dallas, marking the New York-based eyewear brand’s first location in the city. According to the Dallas Business Journal, the retailer will occupy approximately 1,000 square feet near Jenni Kayne. The development is located along Henderson Avenue in East Dallas, although an exact street address for MOSCOT was not specified.
Founded by Hyman Moscot, the company traces its roots to 1899, when he began selling ready-made eyeglasses from a pushcart on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. According to the company’s official website, Hyman opened the family’s first retail shop at 94 Rivington Street in New York City in 1915. The business remains family-owned, with five generations of the Moscot family having participated in its operation.
The company sells optical frames, prescription eyewear, and sunglasses. Its collections include classic frame designs alongside updated styles for customers seeking different shapes and finishes. According to MOSCOT’s website, the company develops its eyewear with an emphasis on optical expertise, including frame construction, lens depth and bridge design. The brand also says its frames are adjusted, cleaned, and inspected at its New York laboratories before being shipped to customers.
The Dallas store will join a group of retailers announced for the Henderson Avenue development. The project’s developer, 3-O Real Estate Partners, was targeting delivery for mid-November 2026, with most retail tenants expected to open in March or April 2027.
