A new fashion retailer is making its way to Jacksonville’s St. Johns Town Center, bringing its mix of clothing, accessories and lifestyle products to the popular shopping destination.

LoveShackFancy, a New York-based brand founded by Rebecca Hessel Cohen in 2013, plans to open in the space previously occupied by Psycho Bunny at 4813 River City Drive, Unit 113. The proposed store will sit between Alo Yoga and Boss, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record.

The city is reviewing a permit application for renovations to the 1,806-square-foot retail space. David Nice Builders, based in Williamsburg, Virginia, is listed as the contractor, with the project carrying an estimated construction cost of $460,424. Arcwerks Inc. of Pembroke Pines is named as the architect.

LoveShackFancy has built its name around a distinctly feminine aesthetic, with collections spanning women’s clothing, dresses, skirts, accessories and footwear. Its offerings also extend to children’s apparel, beauty products and home goods, including bedding, décor, wallpaper and tabletop items.

The brand’s online store showcases an extensive range of products, from everyday clothing and seasonal collections to fragrances, candles and home accessories. It has also developed collaborations with several established brands, including Stanley 1913, Pottery Barn and American Girl.

Hessel Cohen launched LoveShackFancy after designing a hand-dyed dress for her wedding, an early creation that helped shape what would eventually become a broader fashion and lifestyle business.

The Jacksonville location would add another name to St. Johns Town Center’s collection of specialty and upscale retailers. An opening date has not yet been announced, and the project remains subject to the city’s permitting process.
