Holiday Inn to undergo extensive remodel and re-branding
The Holiday Inn Hotel Decatur will re-open as a new “Premium Brand” hotel, according to Decatur Metro.
An employee at Decatur’s only hotel, located at 130 Clairemont Ave, confirms the property will renovate under a new investor.
Hotel employees along with the City of Decatur have not released the name the downtown hotel will eventually take.
Decatur Metro was able to secure some details from the City about the project.
“The new hotel investor is committing to a capital investment of approximately $10 million to be put towards the hotel and conference center that will cover every aspect of the overall property.”
The renovations, according to a city official, will include finishes, surfaces, furniture, etc.
“They plan an affiliation with a premium hotel brand but the official change will take place after the renovation is completed.”
