Cinque Terre West, the restaurant launched by celebrated Italian chef Gianbattista and his wife, Marlo Vinzoni, in Los Angeles, will bring its signature regional cuisine to Austin. According to public filings, Cinque Terre West plans to open at 4800 Burnet Rd., Building D, Suite 450. An opening timeline has not been announced. The restaurant is known for its authentic regional Ligurian dishes, locally sourced ingredients, fresh seafood, daily house-made pasta, and handmade pizza dough and cornetti
The restaurant announced on its website that its last day in Venice would be June 21, 2026, as the team prepares to relocate to Austin, Texas. What Now Austin reached out to Vinzoni but did not receive a response prior to publication.
Vinzoni is no stranger to reinvention. With more than 25 years of culinary experience, he built his career at some of Los Angeles’ most prestigious kitchens, including Soho House and the Beverly Hilton Hotel, before launching Cinque Terre West Osteria in Pacific Palisades in 2019, according to the Palisadian-Post.
Since then, Vinzoni has been building a presence in Austin through his Italian bakery concept CiccioBomba, which operates at 1100 S. Lamar Blvd. The Burnett Road project would mark his first full-service restaurant in the Texas capital, extending the Cinque Terre West brand — celebrated for its handcrafted pastas, focaccia, and Ligurian coastal flavors — to a new city.
