Handcrafted gelato, artisan chocolates and specialty desserts are coming to Leander.
According to public filings, Tifa Chocolate & Gelato is planning a new location at 508 E. San Gabriel Parkway, Suite 150, at Northline in Leander. Construction is currently scheduled to wrap up in December 2026, positioning the concept for a potential opening shortly thereafter, although an official opening date has not yet been announced. What Now Austin reached out to Stephen Handler, manager of Handler Company, the tenant associated with the forthcoming location, Handler declined to provide additional information at this time.
Tifa Chocolate & Gelato traces its origins to 2007 as an online chocolate business before evolving into a brick-and-mortar brand. According to the company, its first storefront opened in Agoura Hills, California, where it established itself as a neighborhood destination centered on premium desserts, coffee beverages and handcrafted gelato. The concept has since expanded into multiple states and now operates as a franchise brand.
Today, the company has locations in Arizona, California, Florida, North Carolina and Texas. Its menu features a variety of gelato flavors, artisan chocolates, coffee drinks and other desserts designed for both quick visits and longer gatherings.
Tifa Chocolate & Gelato also emphasizes on its store design and atmosphere, describing its locations as warm, casual spaces intended to feel welcoming and communal.
