A tech-forward laundromat chain is expanding its Central Texas presence with a new location in Round Rock. According to public filings, LaundroLab plans to open at 2601 S. Interstate 35, Suite B400, within the Boardwalk Shopping Center.
What Now Austin reached out to franchisee Samuel Pritchett, who confirmed an opening targeted for the first half of 2027.
Founded in Texas, LaundroLab has positioned itself as a premium alternative to traditional coin-operated laundromats, targeting markets where busy families, young professionals, and apartment dwellers are looking for a faster, cleaner, and more reliable option.
LaundroLab’s locations feature high-efficiency, app-controlled washers and dryers, a clean and modern aesthetic, free WiFi, loyalty rewards, and attendants on site to assist customers, all designed to make laundry feel less like a chore and more like a seamless errand. The brand also offers wash-and-fold drop-off services, giving customers the option to leave their laundry and pick it up clean and folded.
The Round Rock location would be the brand’s second in the Austin metro, according to the webpage, bringing its model to one of the region’s most densely populated suburban corridors along I-35.
What Now Austin has previously covered the city’s growing commercial scene, including Casa do Brasil, Black Rock Coffee Bar, and The Peach Cobbler Factory, all recently planned for the city.
