According to public filings, Open Air Dance Collective (OADC) is eyeing a brick-and-mortar location at 2825 Hancock Dr., Unit 105: Open Air Dance Studio.
OADC is an Austin-based dance studio known for its non-competitive, high-level training program. The studio was founded by Kerin Martinez, who has more than two decades of teaching experience and previously performed at Disneyland before relocating to Austin, where she built the studio into a boutique, performance-driven dance program that trains dancers across styles like hip hop, acro, and contemporary within a single curriculum, rather than requiring students to enroll in separate classes for each discipline.
What Now Austin reached out to Martinez for comment on the new location and its opening timeline, but did not hear back by the time of publication.
Open Air Dance Studio’s planned Hancock Drive location adds to a string of North Austin openings What Now Austin has tracked in recent months. That includes Swig’s debut in North Austin, a new Little Caesars location on the Parmer Lane corridor, and Start-Up Videogames’ planned opening near Rampart Street, signaling continued business growth across the area’s commercial corridors.
