According to public filings, Sprouts Farmers Market is planning a new location at the northeast corner of SH 130 and Highway 79 in Hutto. The Arizona-based grocery chain specializes in fresh produce, natural and organic foods, vitamins, supplements, and specialty products. Sprouts is known for its farmers-market-inspired layout and has continued to expand across Texas as demand for health-focused grocery options grows.

What Now Austin reached out to Sprouts Farmers Market for additional information regarding the project, including opening timelines. A company representative confirmed that the Hutto location is scheduled to open in 2028 but said a more detailed grand opening date and timing will be available later.

Sprouts Farmers Market will be located in Williamson County. The new store will be 23,299 square feet, with construction currently scheduled to begin in September 2026 and to finish in February 2028.

According to its website, Sprouts currently operates more than 60 stores across Texas, including several locations in the greater Austin area such as Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Bastrop, Kyle, and New Braunfels. The area has attracted significant residential and commercial growth in recent years. This location would also mark Sprouts’ first store in Hutto, expanding the grocer’s reach into another high-growth Central Texas market.

Sprouts was founded in 2002 and has grown into one of the largest specialty grocery chains, operating hundreds of stores across the United States.
