A new Sicilian restaurant, previously reported by What Now Boston, and a separate underground members-only club could soon join the dining and nightlife lineup in downtown Boston‘s Financial District.
According to a recent Instagram update from Boston real estate observer Bret Clancy, COJE Management Group is planning a major expansion at 10 Post Office Square, nearly tripling its footprint in the building from 11,322 to 33,493 square feet. Known for its stylish restaurants, cocktail bars, and nightlife destinations, the local hospitality group plans to add at least two new concepts to the property.
New public filings with the City of Boston, along with information previously shared by COJE with Eater Boston and Boston Magazine, point to an Italian restaurant specializing in Sicilian cuisine at street level, along with a subterranean, members-only venue featuring sushi and multiple dining and drinking areas.
COJE CEO Chris Jamison told Boston Magazine that the Italian concept will explore the diverse culinary influences behind Sicilian cuisine, while the members-only venue is envisioned as a private retreat offering exclusive experiences. The new concepts will join Mariel, COJE’s upscale Cuban restaurant, and My Girl, a cocktail bar that opened last winter in the building’s former Mariel Underground space.
The group has built a reputation for ambitious, design-driven hospitality concepts throughout Boston, with a portfolio that includes Yvonne’s, Lolita, RUKA Restobar, Coquette, Mr. H, Caveau, Zebra Room, and Cocorico. From the dramatic interiors and lively atmosphere of Yvonne’s to the immersive dining experience at RUKA, each concept brings its own distinct personality to the city’s dining and nightlife scene.
Construction has reportedly been underway for months, though the new concepts’ names, additional details, and anticipated opening dates have yet to be announced. A representative for COJE told What Now Boston that the team is gathering preliminary information about the project and expects to share more details in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned for updates as more details emerge about COJE’s latest additions to Boston’s dining and nightlife scene.
