A popular Derry restaurant is crossing the border into Massachusetts.
Known for its house-made pastas, seafood specialties, and creative flatbreads, On The Corner Grill is expanding to downtown Haverhill‘s Harbor Place this winter, according to a recent Facebook update from The Valley Dish. Business filings indicate that the second eatery will find its home at 2 Merrimack Street.
“The new location, situated across the courtyard from Barrio and overlooking the Merrimack River, will continue the restaurant’s commitment to quality and hospitality while introducing its signature Italian-American menu to the Merrimack Valley dining scene,” the post reads.
Owner George Chiachio says guests can expect the same experience that made the Derry spot a local favorite, complete with comforting, flavorful dishes served in a warm, casual setting. Rather than a reinvention, the Haverhill outpost will serve as a natural extension of the original, continuing the restaurant’s focus on craft, service, and community.
