Located on East Bay Street, Bay Street Biergarten is a place where “Every Day Is A Cause For Celebration,” serving up beer, live music, and food that merges Southern and German cuisine. Next spring, this Charleston-born restaurant and entertainment venue is expanding with a new location in West Ashley.
“For West Ashley, the arrival could add another large-scale option for the kind of casual socializing that has become increasingly popular in the area: grab a beer, watch a game, meet friends for dinner, listen to live music or settle in for an afternoon that turns into an evening,” writes Charleston Daily.
What Now confirmed news of the opening on Friday with partner Greg Pierdon. Pierdon says guests can expect the same great menu served at the brand’s current location, with elevated seating in the dining area, a large indoor bar, and a covered patio with plenty of outdoor seating.
“Bay Street Biergarten is located at 549 East Bay Street on the Charleston Peninsula in the historic neighborhood of Wraggborough,” says the Bay Street Biergarten website. “Featuring beautiful high ceilings, large communal tables, and German-influenced, high-end bar fare, it’s as close as you can get to an authentic Munich bier hall in the South.”
No opening has been set yet, but Pierdon says the new location is working toward a launch in spring 2027.
