BC Block is headed to Raleigh’s East End Market, where the fitness concept has signed a lease for approximately 7,500 square feet, according to reporting from the Triangle Business Journal. The company is expected to open in early 2027 at 1029 E. Whitaker Mill Road.
According to Shaun Booth, founder and owner of BC Block, the facility will focus primarily on strength training and conditioning. Additional offerings will include treadmill classes, select HYROX programming and recovery-focused amenities.
“Our main focus is strength training and conditioning, which we’ve been doing for nearly eight years,” Booth told WhatNow Charlotte. “We’ll also offer treadmill classes and some HYROX programming, but we’re not solely a HYROX gym. Recovery will be a major component as well, including cold plunges, saunas and other recovery tools.”
According to the company’s website, BC Block combines multiple fitness disciplines under one roof while also emphasizing recovery services. In addition to group workouts, the brand offers amenities such as cold plunges, saunas and IV therapy.
BC Block currently operates in Nashville, Tennessee, where it offers specialized Hyrox coaching, race simulations and performance-focused training programs, according to the company’s website. Hyrox has grown rapidly in recent years, attracting both competitive athletes and everyday fitness enthusiasts through races that combine endurance running with functional fitness challenges.
The Raleigh location marks the company’s latest expansion as East End Market continues to attract new tenants ahead of future openings.
