Beef Shack, home of the cheezy beef, is opening even more locations in Chicagoland, this time expanding to St. Charles and Oswego.

This will mark the company’s official return to St. Charles, where the business started in 2012 before the site closed in 2020. Now Beef Shack is planning to replace TitleMax Title Loans at 2015 W. Main Street, only a mile from the company’s original location, featuring a double-lane drive-thru. Beef Shack’s sixth location will be at 3433 Orchard Road in Oswego. Director of Operations Brandon Perillo tells What Now Chicago he hopes they will open around February 2023, possibly March. Both sites are still under construction.

“We are excited to return to St. Charles, where Beef Shack got its start more than a decade ago,” Beef Shack CEO Daniel Perillo tells Patch. “The new location will deliver the same deliciousness customers have come to expect: the best sandwiches made only from fresh, never-frozen ingredients. Our philosophy has always been to keep the menu small and ‘wow’ customers with everything we do. We cannot wait to serve the St. Charles community.”

Beef Shack currently has four locations in Chicagoland, with two in Elgin and one in Huntley and Barlett. While the company is actively searching for new franchisees, Perillos tells What Now Chicago that both these new locations will be corporate-owned. Beef Shack founder Spiro Douvres maintained ownership of the original St. Charles location before selling the company’s franchise rights, saying “the love was lost for it,” according to the Daily Herald. The decision to move on proved successful for the company, recently opening its second Elgin site this year.
