Gavroche Plans to Debut in Old Town

According to Google, Gavroche will be taking over what was once home to Wild Taco.

According to a recent permit filing, Gavroche has filed for an Old Town location at 1529 N Wells Street.

A representative of Gavroche was not immediately available to comment upon What Now Chicago’s request.

While an official opening date and what Gavroche plans to offer have yet to be confirmed, according to the permit filing, Gavroche was filed under Maison Elan, LLC. Listed to be behind Gavroche are Synchronicity Investments, Llc, Jason Chan, and Dobbi Kerman.

For the property itself, according to Loop Net, the property was built in 1930 and boasts 12,383 square feet of space. The property listing describes the building as a “Desirable commercial site in the heart of Old Town’s thriving dining, entertainment, and residential district.”

“Lower level with office, food prep space, and storage. Adjacent to three-generation Japanese restaurant, Kamehachi, and beloved A Red Orchid Theatre. Across from Zanies Comedy Club and one block from iconic Second City.”
