Something hot is coming to Wrigleyville.
Hattie B’s Hot Chicken is planned for a space at Gallagher Way at 3635 N Clark Street. The approximately 3,200-square-foot space was formerly occupied by Foxtrot.
This will be the first Chicago location of Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, a Nashville-based chain. It is expected to include both indoor seating and outdoor patio seating.
“Our arrival to Chicago and opening at Gallagher Way is beyond exciting for me and our entire Hattie B’s family and team,” Hattie B’s Hot Chicken co-founder Nick Bishop, Jr. said in a statement. “Chicago is one of the great food and beverage cities in the world, and we can’t wait to soon serve our Nashville hot chicken in Wrigleyville.”
Hattie B’s Hot Chicken made its debut in 2012 and has since grown to 13 locations across several states, mostly in the South. The family-owned brand does not currently franchise.
The menu includes fried chicken with a variety of heat levels, as well as sandwiches, tenders, wings and sides like mac and cheese, fried pickles, bacon cheddar grits, and more. Chicagoans might already be familiar with the concept, thanks to a popular pop-up in Wicker Park in 2019.
Hattie B’s Hot Chicken is expected to open in Chicago in late 2025 or early 2026.
Gallagher Way is a sports and entertainment district featuring several chef-driven restaurants. It is adjacent to Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs.
