A new martini lounge is in the works in the Andersonville neighborhood and will be opening in the coming months.
Owners Wil Mcerlean and Charlie Bonanno have acquired the space for Wil’s Martini Lounge at 1478 W Catalpa Avenue in Andersonville. The two applied for a liquor license on April 16, and they are now working on setting up the space for future opening.
“The neighborhood is really excited,” Bonanno told What Now Chicago.
The business announced on their social media on March 18 that they had a contractor, builder and architect. The space is attached to the same building as JB’s Deli at the corner. As work is being done, there is not an estimated date of opening as of yet.
Bonanno is also the senior stylist and owner of XO Studio salons in Lakeview and Roscoe Village. Mcerlean is listed as the owner of Wil’s Martini Lounge and is also a cook. The drink menu has not yet been released, but of course martinis will be a signature item.
