AMC Theatres (NYSE:AMC), the largest theatrical exhibitor in the United States and in the world, and Roosevelt Collection Shops, Chicago’s shopping and lifestyle center situated in the South Loop, announced that the AMC theatrical experience will come to guests at Roosevelt Collection Shops in early 2025. AMC Roosevelt Collection 16, formerly the ShowPlace ICON, will reopen to moviegoers in the first quarter of 2025, ahead of a highly anticipated slate of blockbuster films next year.
AMC is the market leader in the state of Illinois with 47 locations, including more than 25 locations in the greater Chicagoland area. An addition to the Roosevelt Collection Shops, AMC will join a robust, well-balanced mix of retailers and amenities including Ulta Beauty, H&M, Fleet Feet Sports, LensCrafters and more.

The theatre will offer many of AMC’s popular amenities, including plush, power-recliner seating. In the months following opening, AMC expects to bring its full concession menu, as well as its MacGuffins Bar concept to guests at AMC Roosevelt Collection 16. Available at hundreds of AMC locations nationwide, MacGuffins allows guests who are at least 21 years old to enjoy a beer, glass of wine or cocktail with their movie.
When AMC Roosevelt Collection 16 joins the AMC circuit early next year, AMC Stubs A-List members can use their A-List account at that location. Additionally, AMC Stubs members can earn rewards through the purchase of movie tickets and food & drinks at the theatre.
