Bobbles & Lace is seeking expansion in the Windy City this year.
The retail concept out of Boston is coming to a second Chicago location at 3501 N Southport Avenue, per a report from Southport Corridor. This follows a string of other retailers seeking expansion in this shopping area near the Southport Brown Line station. An opening date has not yet been announced, and the location is not listed on their website.
The first Bobbles & Lace in Chicago opened fairly recently, last August at 1018 W Randolph Street in West Loop. CEO Lindsay Rose Rando founded the boutique in 2008 in Marblehead, Massachusetts, and has since then expanded to around 27 locations around the country. Their new space was formerly a UPS store for a long time.
Bobbles & Lace offers a wide variety of apparel, including tops, dresses, jeans, swimsuits, outwear, shoes and jewelry. All of their products are catered to women, and are available on their website.
The storefront is at the intersection of W Cornelia Avenue, across from Lange’s Lounge. This is a short walk from other retailers along Southport including Lovesac, Johnny Was and Bluemercury. Many of the other retailers are just south of the intersection, close to the Southport Brown Line stop.
What Now Chicago is awaiting comment from the Bobbles & Lace team, and more information on the chain can be found on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
