A national performance, speed, and agility training business is heading to Northlake. According to public filings, Redline Athletics plans to open at 200 Mavericks Lane, Units A-E, inside DFW Northlake Business Park. What Now Dallas reached out to franchise co-owner Prashant Patel, who confirmed the location is targeting an opening in October, pending final preparations.
Redline Athletics offers speed, agility, and strength training programs designed to help young athletes improve performance across a range of sports. The brand was founded in 2010 as a training facility and has grown to more than 50 locations in the U.S., according to their webpage.
The Northlake location is owned by Prashant and his wife, Dipa Patel. In an interview with What Now, Prashant confirmed they chose Northlake because they live in the area and understood both its potential and its clientele firsthand.
“We had the option of looking at other locations, but we knew the potential of that location. Growing up in that area, we wanted to be an active part of the community,” he said.
According to Patel, the community currently lacks major services like those Redline Athletics offers, positioning the business to be, as he put it, “a positive driver for the area of Northlake.” This will be the Patels’ first Redline Athletics franchise.
Prashant said the decision was personal, rooted in his own children’s basketball careers. With both kids playing for the past three years, he began looking for speed and agility training to help them develop beyond basketball IQ as they aimed for high school and college-level play.
The closest option he could find that was both affordable and reputable was roughly 20 minutes away.
“We said, why don’t we just kind of bring something like this in our area, so other families can take advantage of it as well?” he told What Now Dallas. Patel said he and Dipa hope to expand the franchise into other communities if the Northlake location proves successful.
When asked about the community, Patel said his goal goes beyond athletic performance: He wants every young athlete who walks through the door to gain confidence and self-knowledge.
“My biggest goal is for every athlete or every young person that walks into my facility to walk away being confident and believing in themselves,” he said, adding that self-belief carries over into success outside of sports as well.
