The popularity of Mediterranean wines is ever-present in Denver.
The team behind Barcelona Wine Bar is bringing a new restaurant option to Denver Tech Center at 8101 E Belleview Avenue. They plan on bringing their same popular Spanish cuisine options and award winning wine program. The location is set to open sometime in early 2027.
“Known for its award-winning Spanish wine program and the kind of lively, neighborhood tapas-bar energy that makes it easy to lose track of time, Barcelona is bringing that same experience to south Denver,” a representative from Barcelona Wine Bar told What Now Denver. Menu items are to include similar options to their other Colorado location, like tapas, chicken pimientos and charcuteries.
Barcelona Wine Bar manages 24 locations in the U.S., in other states including Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Texas. This will be their second Colorado restaurant. As of now, there are no plans for additional expansion across the state.
The restaurant is opening in the middle of the Denver Tech Center area, with other restaurants nearby including La Loma DTC, Ocean Prime and Bryan’s Dumpling House. It joins the On The Square development, with 264 apartment units and additional retail.
From The Denver Post, the space will be around 4,000 square feet, with the addition of a 100-square-foot enclosed all-season patio and another outdoor patio. The timeline of construction has not yet been released.
