A Mexican food caterer has found great success in the Southwest Michigan town.

The owner of Chino’s Kitchen in Kalamazoo is teasing a new location coming to 806 Riverview Drive this year. The business is currently a food truck, but owner Jesus Barraza is now taking the next step in his culinary journey. An opening date hasn’t yet been announced.

“From Chihuahua to Kalamazoo,” says the recent post from Chino’s.

From their online menu, the kitchen prepares a wide range of tacos, burgers, quesadillas, burritos and other Latin American cuisine. Their chilaquiles come with crispy tortilla chips, cheese, onion, salsa and crema. Soft drinks like sodas are also served.

The plaza is at the northeast side of the Riverview Drive-Bridge Street intersection. It will share the building with 13 1/2 Liquor Store, and the plaza is next to Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken. This is a short drive northeast of downtown Kalamazoo.

What Now Detroit is awaiting comment from Barraza on the new location. More updates on Chino’s Kitchen and new offerings can be found on their Facebook and Instagram pages.
