A fabric store is taking shape in the suburb’s downtown.

Staff at The Wooly Nook Fabric Store are preparing to offer knitted products and crochet classes to 32736 Grand River Avenue in downtown Farmington. This is the first concept for the brand in the area. Owner Agnieszka Masunas told What Now Detroit she is hoping to debut the concept in November.

Masunas has been planning the location for about six months. She recently obtained the space, and wants to make it a community space along with a store. Masunas also plans on hosting crochet classes in the future.

The fabric store is under construction in the Village Commons shopping mall in downtown Farmington. It joins Pandora jewelry store and The Mercantile Nonprofit gift shop. This is on the east side of downtown.

For products, Masunas will be selling knitted items like socks. She is seeking out a Michigan supplier, with more details to come. Social media accounts have not been set up for Wooly Nook, yet, but more information prior to the opening will be released on the store website.
