Healthy eating is about to get a little easier in Missouri City. Grain & Berry, a fast-casual concept known for its acai bowls, smoothies, salads, vegan options, and freshly made juices, will be opening a new location at 9010 Sienna Crossing Dr #250.

The project comes from Co-Franchisee Uche Jessica Mbaka, who, alongside her husband, decided to bring the Florida-based brand to The Bayou City after experiencing it firsthand. “My husband researched the brand, and we flew to Tampa to try it,” Mbaka shared. “We loved it and decided it would be great to bring back to Texas.”

While this will be the couple’s first restaurant, it’s not their first foray into business ownership. Together, they already operate an IV drip spa in Rosenberg, and Mbaka continues to work full-time as an anesthesiologist. When asked about future plans with the brand, Mbaka said, “Just one unit for now and see how that goes,” leaving the door open depending on the success of their first location.

The Missouri City build-out will renovate a 1,620-square-foot vanilla shell space into a vibrant quick-service restaurant, with an estimated investment of $250,000. This new Grain & Berry’s location is expected to officially open Summer 2025.
