Saltgrass Steakhouse at 19720 Southwest Fwy in Sugar Land is gearing up for a light renovation. According to recently filed permits, the project will focus on updating specific interior elements without changing the overall footprint of the restaurant.
The scope of work includes selective demolition, concrete floor leveling, wall reframing with a new structural lintel beam, and partition patching. Updates to the lighting, mechanical systems, electrical outlets, and modifications to the fire sprinkler system are also part of the renovation.
Plans also call for a brand-new bar and updated “To Go” sales counters, along with new base cabinets and miscellaneous interior finishes that will match the existing style. The refreshed bar area will provide a more inviting space for guests to enjoy signature cocktails, such as the Grilled Pineapple Margarita, and a variety of beers and wines . Additionally, the revamped “To Go” counters aim to streamline the takeout process, ensuring that customers can conveniently enjoy their favorite Saltgrass dishes at home.
With an estimated cost of $285,000, the project is a privately funded investment designed to refresh the guest experience while maintaining the signature Saltgrass atmosphere. The renovation will impact approximately 274 square feet of space inside the restaurant.
Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2025, with completion targeted for August 2025.
