Rumi Room to Open in The Bend this Fall

Rumi Room is embarking on a second opening. According to a Clark County permit, the brand’s second eatery in the Las Vegas Valley is expected to open in Spring Valley within The Bend shopping center at 8730 W Sunset Rd Ste G130.

At the helm of the opening are restaurateur Mamad Nafissi and business partner Dr. Ali Haq. What Now Las Vegas briefly spoke with Nafissi about the upcoming opening and the exciting addition to the brand. Nafissi confirmed the opening and shared that the two are targeting a September opening.

“We have an existing restaurant that we are growing and need more space for special events, dancing, and entertainment,” Nafissi said.

“Originally, we wanted to open at the bend, but they didn’t have any spaces available. As soon as the location was available, we jumped on it.”

Rumi Room is a chef-driven kitchen built on authenticity, quality, and passion. Every recipe has been carefully developed by Chef Mamad Nafissi, drawing on generations of Persian culinary tradition while celebrating the vibrant flavors of Indo-Pak cuisine.

“We prepare our food with premium ingredients, handcrafted kabobs, house-made sauces, freshly baked naan, and authentic recipes that honor tradition while delivering an elevated dining experience,” Nafissi said.

Fan favorites include the Beef Koobideh—seasoned ground beef skewers grilled over an open flame—and the Beef Barg, featuring thinly sliced premium filet mignon, expertly marinated and grilled to perfection. The Chicken Tikka Masala, served with freshly baked garlic naan, has become one of our signature dishes. Guests also love the crispy, handcrafted samosas, filled with bold, authentic flavors. To complete the experience, the Signature Rumi Room Cocktails are a guest favorite, crafted to perfectly complement our cuisine.

“Our goal is to create more than just a restaurant—we want to create a place where people come together. Rumi Room was founded and opened in 2024 at the Evora development on South Buffalo Drive by Haq and Nafissi to blend traditional Persian and Indo-Pakistani fine dining. After struggling to find a fitting title, Nafissi consulted his friend, the famous Iranian singer Faramarz Assef, who helped coin the name Rumi Room in honor of the renowned 13th-century poet Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi.

The venue was designed with an intimate indoor seating capacity for roughly 60 guests, complemented by outdoor patio seating for an additional 40 patrons. We suspect the brand’s second opening will have the same feel and look.

“The new Rumi Room location elevates the experience even further with an upscale dining room, private event space, curated cocktail program, and weekend live entertainment featuring international music and social dancing,” Nafissi said.
