Shang Artisan Noodle is working towards opening another eatery in the Northwest Las Vegas area. According to a City of Las Vegas permit, Shang Artisan Noodle is expected to open at Centennial Hills Town Center at 6491 N Durango Dr., Suite 140.

What Now Las Vegas briefly spoke with owner Sam Huang, who was listed on the permit. Huang confirmed the opening, but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.

“The art of noodle making is an ancient practice in China, with the earliest records dating between 25-200 A.D. Shang Artisan Noodle focuses on the traditions specific to Shan-Xi, a landlocked northern province where wheat cultivation thrives,” the Shang Artisan Noodle website reads.

“Here, the labor-intensive, centuries-old technique of kneading and hand-pulling dough is still executed by skilled artisans with deft hands. Silken and springy in equal measure, the noodles are used in a diverse array of hot and cold dishes that reflect the unique culture of this particular region.”

Construction on the new Shang Artisan Noodle should currently be underway and should be completed sometime this year. But no word yet on exactly when the new restaurant will open.

Besides the Northwest Las Vegas location on Durango, there’s also a Shang Artisan Noodle at the Durango Resort inside the Eat Your Heart Out Food Hall and three more sprinkled throughout the Valley. This upcoming location will be a welcome addition to the family.

Huan founded the brand in 2016. Rooted in the street food culture of his hometown in Southern China and traditional Shan-Xi province recipes, Huang established the restaurant to celebrate handmade, hand-pulled, and knife-shaved noodles.

Shang Artisan Noodle aims to both honor and elevate the Chinese culinary tradition of handmade noodles,” the Shan Artisan Noodle website reads.

“With an emphasis on high-quality ingredients, classic techniques, and thoughtful presentations, we want to delight our guests with an affordable meal that satisfies all of their senses. (Just because we are a fast casual concept doesn’t mean we can’t offer an exceptional experience.) Our concept may be rooted in the past, but our execution embraces contemporary tastes.”

The brand is pretty active on social media. So, keep your eyes open and your ears perked for the latest on its developments.

Shang Artisan Noodle is anticipated to open in the Centennial Hills Town Center at 6491 N Durango Dr., Suite 140, sometime this year.

(This is a developing story. As more information is made available, we will update this article. Stay tuned!)
