Gianbattista Vinzoni, the owner of CinqueTerre West Osteria, at 970 Monument Street, plans to expand to the adjacent, approximately 600-square-foot Suite 112 next door. Although construction is currently on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vinzoni wants to use the extra space to open a “taverna” or a “cantina” with charcuterie, tapas, and other finger food.

The hope is to open by January or February of 2021, but “everything depends on the laws and regulations that are in place because of COVID,” Vinzoni told What Now Los Angeles. Initially, plans were to open in April of this year.

CinqueTerre is a family-run Italian restaurant that offers authentic regional Ligurian cuisine and locally-sourced products, operating out of The Gardens at Pallisades development. The menu includes daily house-made pasta, pizza dough, cornetti, and focaccia. The menu changes on a seasonal basis.
