Connie & Ted’s is preparing to close its doors on July 1, marking the end of its 13 years of service. The chef-owners of the seafood restaurant planned to host a farewell dinner on June 18. The dinner will feature a multi-course menu and Connie & Ted’s signature dishes.

One Last Cast: Connie & Ted’s Plans Farewell Dinner Ahead of Closure

A longtime fixture, Connie & Ted’s, located in West Hollywood, is set to say goodbye. The restaurant gained popularity with its New England-style seafood menu.

Connie & Ted’s is operated by acclaimed chef Michael Cimarusti, along with partners Donato Poto and Crisi Echiverri. The restaurant opened in 2013 and was named in honor of Cimarusti’s grandparents, Constance and Edward.

Ahead of the restaurant’s final day of service, Chef Michael Cimarusti and Executive Chef Sam Baxter will host a farewell event.

‘One Last Cast’ will be celebrated on June 18, today, at 8171 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood. The event aims to honor and celebrate the restaurant and its story in the LA dining scene.

Farewell Menu Highlights

The “One Last Cast” evening will feature a multi-course menu with notable dishes that define Connie & Ted’s legacy. The menu will include Tuna Unmelt, Angels on Horseback, Truffled New England Clam Chowder, and Indian Pudding for dessert.

The dinner will also recognize the fishermen, farmers, oyster growers, staff, and community members who supported the restaurant.

Dinner seatings will be offered between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with tickets priced at $175 per guest. Reservation details are available here.

What Led to the Closure

In May, the restaurant shared the news of its closure. “After nearly 13 remarkable years, Connie & Ted’s will be closing its doors on July 1st,” said the team in an Instagram post.

According to an Eater report, the restaurant cited “overwhelming” challenges in the hospitality industry as the key reason for closure.

“Ongoing recovery from operating at limited capacity during the pandemic and rising costs of labor and goods. We held on as long as we could, doing everything possible to navigate these challenges, but ultimately, we have reached a point where continuing forward is untenable,” the report stated.

With the “One Last Cast” evening, Connie & Ted’s aim to revisit the dishes and memories that made them a West Hollywood staple.
