Otoño Mercat — a new yet familiar market concept by Chef Teresa Montaño of Otoño — will open in the former Dave’s Chillin’ and Grillin’ space, just off Figueroa, at 4981 Eagle Rock Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90041.

While Montaño intends for the space to provide commodities recherché like specialized Spanish items and rare jamon (ham) cuts, Otoño Mercat will also serve as a “space for pop-up chefs to come in and cook, for cocktail and brand nights, for product launches, and for fun one-off days like FC Barcelona football games,” says Eater LA.

Additionally, the market will transition to a bar in the evening offering obscure vermouths and cocktails.

While Otoño Mercat is “new,” it’s not the first time the name has appeared attached to Montaño. During the pandemic, the chef transformed her Spanish restaurant into a market where, despite the lockdown, customers could come for an alternative experience.

Otoño Mercat will debut in May or June
