A growing South Korean fried chicken chain is making its way to Jonesboro.

According to a Facebook update from Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate and Development, Bonchon is coming to 2200 Red Wolf Blvd. The 2,008-square-foot restaurant will join the lineup of recently announced tenants in the Premier Auto redevelopment, including Baskin-Robbins.

Bonchon, meaning “my hometown” in Korean, is famous for its double-fried chicken, which flaunts a crispy exterior and juicy interior. The chain also offers a variety of Korean-inspired dishes, sides, and desserts, such as japchae, bulgogi fries, and Korean donuts.

Boasting over 120 locations nationwide, Bonchon is rapidly expanding across the U.S., with a new restaurant slated to open in Cordova this month. San Mirafuentes, the franchisee for the forthcoming Jonesboro restaurant, is also planning two more Arkansas locations.

Mirafuentes told What Now Memphis that Bonchon Jonesboro is projected to open this fall, during the week of Thanksgiving.
