The owner of the new eatery, Brandon Griffin, told What Now Memphis that his latest restaurant will feature fried chicken, fish and shrimp.

Griffin hopes for a May opening of Harold’s Fish and Chicken at 5181 Winchester Road in Memphis, following all necessary licenses and inspections. He also hopes to eventually apply for a beer and wine permit. For now, Harold’s will be a mostly grab-and-go location, with room for about 12 people to sit and dine.

This is Griffin’s fourth restaurant in the area. He had to put in a new vent hood in the kitchen, which he said was a “very big project.”

The location used to house Baymon’s Fresh Fish Market, which closed following the death of the owner, according to Griffin.

“He was one of my customers at another restaurant that I had, and that’s how I met him,” Griffin said. “That goes to show hour good our fish was.”
