James Avery, Vice President of Development at Jack’s Family Restaurants, plans to break ground this spring on a new Tennessee location at 3770 E. Shelby Drive, to open by the end of this year.

The new restaurant will be located about two miles from the Mississippi line, close to other eateries, a Hop-In convenience store and an Exxon gas station. The Southern Charm architectural design features a viewing window to watch handmade biscuits being made from scratch. With 68 seats inside, and four rocking chairs on the outdoor patio, it will also include covered curbside pick-up for online orders.

“This one will also have a double drive-through. It’s the most up-to-date digital prototype,” Billie Jo Waara, Chief Marketing Officer, tells What Now Memphis.

As part of its pledge to the community it serves, Jack’s supports local nonprofits and charitable organizations. It will also provide approximately 60 jobs to the surrounding area.

Founded in 1960 in Homewood, Alabama, Jack’s Family Restaurants can now be found across Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee, offering Southern comfort foods in a quick-serve, friendly restaurant setting.

“Jack’s will always be proud to call the South home. As we continue to expand and innovate our offerings, the Southern hospitality our guests cherish still serves as a compass guiding our decisions,” reads the website.

Jack’s popular breakfast menu items include Loaded Breakfast Tots, the Chicken Biscuit and the Big Breakfast Sandwich. Lunch items feature the Big Jack cheeseburger, the Original Chicken Sandwich, Fried Chicken and Biscuits, and more.
