A new Jamaican establishment is coming to Memphis at 150 N Avalon St, infusing a vibrant energy into the local culinary scene. Set to open its doors in January 2024, JamRack Restaurant & Bar is spearheaded by owner Damion ‘Hype’ Lumsden, a prominent figure in the American reggae, dancehall, and Afrobeats music genres.

Hype brings his deep passion for Jamaican culture to the forefront of this upcoming venture, ensuring an atmosphere that resonates with the spirit of the Caribbean. Inspired by Damian Marley, son of legendary Bob Marley, JamRack aims to deliver an authentic Jamaican dining experience infused with a soulful, southern touch.

But JamRack will offer more than just Jamaican cuisine. In addition to an array of authentic dishes, the establishment will feature a bar serving an enticing selection of traditional Jamaican rum punch flavors, including mango and strawberry.

JamRack Restaurant & Bar is poised to become more than just a place to dine; it’s an upbeat space where the heart and soul of Jamaican culture is celebrated. As the grand opening approaches, Memphis residents can look forward to savoring the unique culture and rich flavors of Jamaica in a fun and lively setting.
