A new cafe is percolating into the Memphis java scene, courtesy of The Indigo Road Hospitality Group. While the concept does not yet have a name, it will be opening in the lobby of the recently sold Central Station Hotel, reports Daily Memphian.

Described as “a neighborhood coffee car”, the establishment will be serving up light eats including smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, and house-made pastries alongside the expected coffee drinks in the 545 South Main Street hotel. Guests will be able to stop into the cafe between 7 am and 3 pm.

The Indigo Road Hospitality eatery won’t cater exclusively to the hotel’s guests; the group’s founder, Steve Palmer, tells Daily Memphian: “The hotel lobby and cafe should be the living room of the neighborhood. We want to engage the South Main neighborhood.”

An opening timeline is not presently available for the coffee shop, however The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is hitting the ground running with its overall takeover of the Central Station Hotel’s various dining options, suggesting future regulars may not have to wait too long to enjoy all the concept will have to offer.
