A new spot for homemade ice cream is coming to Memphis.

Mama Clara’s Homemade Ice Cream Inc. recently filed permits to open a to-go shop at 1117 E Raines Rd. The venture is helmed by local entrepreneur Darrell Milan, who also operates a tennis racquet stringing service and an accounting business within the same building.

While Milan confirmed this news with What Now Memphis, he noted that Mama Clara’s is still in its early planning stages and declined to share further details.

However, permits indicate that the ice cream shop will operate exclusively as a to-go establishment, serving its homemade treats through a service window with no indoor access for customers.

Milan said Mama Clara’s is “just starting out” and is slated to debut sometime in 2025.
