Chocolats Favoris, a Quebec-based chocolate and ice cream chain, is getting ready to relocate its Rimouski location to 100 Rue St Germain O.

The company’s new location is set to move into the former home of La P’tite Grenouille after the current shop on Avenue Léonidas Sud closes on June 25, according to Le Soir. While an exact reopening date has yet to be announced, the company shared on Facebook that it will reveal an official opening date soon, stating, “We’ll be back soon with an official opening date in our new location.” Customers can expect the brand’s signature dipped ice cream, handcrafted chocolates, chocolate bars, and other sweet treats when the new shop opens.

Chocolats Favoris had been looking to establish a presence in the Rimouski region for several years before opening its first local store in 2023. The location opened about a year after the company expanded to Rivière du Loup, replacing a former Chocolato franchise in Quartier D’Astous. The brand’s arrival generated considerable interest among local customers who had been waiting for the Quebec chain to enter the market. The move to downtown Rimouski marks the next chapter for the business after just over two years in its original location.

Founded in 1979, Chocolats Favoris has grown into one of Quebec’s best-known chocolate brands, operating locations across the province and beyond. The company is recognized for its soft-serve ice cream dipped in real chocolate, with more than 12 coating flavors available year-round. Many of its chocolates and specialty products are made at the company’s 42,000-square-foot factory in Quebec using premium ingredients and sustainably sourced cocoa.

The menu includes dipped soft serve, handcrafted chocolates, chocolate bars, gift boxes, and seasonal products. Customers can choose from flavors such as Original Milk, Salted Caramel, Hazelnut Praline, Cookies and Cream, Signature 74% Dark Chocolate, and rotating limited-time coatings. Vegan-friendly dark chocolate coatings and real fruit sorbets are also available.

This will be an excellent landing space for Chocolats Favoris as it relocates to downtown Rimouski. The new location places the company in the heart of the city’s commercial district while allowing it to continue serving the customers it has built since opening in 2023. The move also reflects the company’s continued investment in the Rimouski market as it expands its presence across Quebec.
