The Abbatiello Group, a Quebec-based restaurant operator and franchising company, has acquired Shaker Cuisine & Mixologie, a 21-unit restaurant-bar chain with locations across the province.

The acquisition was announced by Silo57, with Abbatiello Group confirming it has completed the purchase of the established concept, which was founded in 2015 by Quebec restaurateurs. Shaker Cuisine & Mixologie currently operates in multiple cities, including Laval, Québec City, Sherbrooke, Trois-Rivières, Chicoutimi, and Rimouski. The brand is known for its cocktail-driven bar atmosphere paired with a food menu featuring tartares, burgers, poutines, and shareable plates.

The deal follows a period in which Shaker Cuisine & Mixologie attracted interest from potential buyers outside Quebec, including parties in Ontario. However, the chain ultimately remained under Quebec ownership. Elisabeth Abbatiello, a partner in the Abbatiello Group, said the company was already in discussions with other potential buyers when negotiations progressed, and they ultimately became the only Quebec-based bidder at the table.

Abbatiello Group is best known for its Pizza Salvatoré brand, alongside other concepts such as Topla! Jack le Coq, Crèmerie Chez Mamie, and L’œufrier. The company has grown rapidly in recent years as part of a broader franchising and multi-brand expansion strategy across Canada. With Shaker now added to its portfolio, the group continues to build on its model of acquiring and scaling established regional restaurant brands.

Shaker Cuisine & Mixologie has grown into one of Quebec’s most recognizable restaurant-bar chains, offering a mix of casual dining and cocktail-focused nightlife. Its menu includes a wide range of tartares, salads, burgers, nachos, and shareable appetizers, paired with a strong emphasis on mixology and house cocktails. The concept is designed to function as both a dining destination and an evening social space.

The Abbatiello Group has positioned itself as a consolidator in the Canadian restaurant space, with a focus on franchising and expansion-driven growth. The company states it operates nearly 200 restaurants and continues to pursue additional openings annually as part of its long-term strategy.
