The team behind two of Knoxville’s acclaimed restaurants is preparing to introduce a new concept to the city. According to Knox News’ Instagram, Au Bon Coin is planned for 724 N. Broadway, Knoxville, where it will transform the former home of The Donut Shop into a French bistro.
The upcoming restaurant comes from the owners of Potchke and A Dopo, both of which were recently recognized by USA TODAY among the nation’s best restaurants. Knox News reports that the building sits near the intersection of Broadway and Lamar Street, just a short distance from Next Level Brewing Company.
A Dopo co-owner Brian Strutz confirmed to WhatNow Nashville that Au Bon Coin is moving forward at the Knoxville location, adding that additional details about the concept will be shared closer to its debut.
The project marks another venture for the restaurateurs behind Potchke and A Dopo as they continue expanding their presence in Knoxville’s dining scene. WhatNow Nashville will provide additional updates on the restaurant’s menu, opening timeline, and other details as they become available.
