Indoor golf entertainment venue Five Iron Golf opened its first location in the Flatiron District in 2017 at 19th and Fifth Avenue. Now, the brand is planning to move that location to nearby 611 Sixth Avenue, according to a release. It is expected to open in 2026.
The new location will be more than 50% larger than the original, allowing for 13 Trackman simulators instead of 10. There will also be a new bar and dining experience, lounge areas and improved locker rooms.
“It’s bittersweet to move from our first location — and our namesake,” Jared Solomon, co-founder and CEO of Five Iron Golf, said in the release. “The ‘Five’ in Five Iron was a nod to Fifth Avenue, and no, we’re not changing our name to Six Iron. But this brand-new, much larger space is exactly what this part of Manhattan deserves. We chose Flatiron for our first-ever location for a reason — and we still believe it’s the perfect neighborhood for a flagship.”
Five Iron Golf currently has 34 locations across 15 states and five countries. It also has new locations heading to Boston, Cleveland, Nashville and St. Louis. Five Iron is known for its high-end technology, including the Trackman golf radar, which tracks metrics ranging from ball speed to club path.
Five Iron offers options for corporate events, kids’ parties and fun hangouts in addition to lessons, fittings and practice sessions.
