You gotta strike while the iron is caliente, as they say…

After opening its doors in the Bronx in September 2025, Viva Café is an all-day Mexican restaurant that is already planning a second location. According to a filing with Community Board 11, an upcoming location of Viva Café is being planned for 2018 3rd Ave. in East Harlem. The owners are seeking a full liquor license for the restaurant, which has a seating capacity of 70 guests, including bar seating. The restaurant is slated to be open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. during most of the week and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. An opening date has not been announced, and What Now New York has reached out for more information.

The current location of Viva Café has an extensive menu that spans from classic American breakfast dishes to essential Mexican comfort food. It also regularly hosts promotional events for occasions like Cinco de Mayo and World Cup games featuring the Mexican national team.
