Nialls Fallon, Nick Perkins and Leah Campbell are ready to bring a new concept to Prospect Heights, with plans to take over the Bar Meridian space at 406 Prospect Place. Bar Meridian announced earlier this month that it will be closing its doors on April 30.
“We can’t tell you how proud we are of this little corner bar and the memories this community has created within its walls,” the Bar Meridian team said in the announcement. “We truly achieved our goal of creating a home for all of us in this neighborhood. We thank you for the opportunity to serve you all and provide a place for comfort and celebration!”
However, the spot will not stay vacant for long. Fallon, Perkins and Campbell are already at work on a new yet-to-be-named concept. Fallon told What Now New York that it will be an oyster bar, with plans to open later this year. The team is also behind Hart’s, The Fly, Cervo’s, Eel Bar and Minnow World.
Gillian Graham, the chef of Hart’s and The Fly, and Taylor Ward, their wine director, will also be involved in the venture.
“Can’t wait to share more with you as we near opening later this year,” Fallon said.
