The team behind several popular upscale restaurants is developing an elevated New American concept called Anderson for 41 St. Mark’s Pl., according to a permit filing with Community Board 3. Industry veterans Aidan O’Neal, Jeff Robbins, and George Riddle are spearheading the creation of an upscale all-day restaurant that will blend sophisticated multicultural dishes with approachable neighborhood charm. A sample menu listed with raw seafood bar offerings, charcuterie, and seasonal salads. Hearty main courses include steak frites, pan-roasted halibut, grilled lamb collar, and dry-aged duck breast.

Anderson will take over a storied space that formerly housed Marylou and the legendary Cafe Orlin. The interior will accommodate 56 guests across 28 tables and have a six-seat bar, while the outside will retain its essential front patio seating.
