Detroit-based waste removal and dumpster rental company Detroit Dumpster Depot, LLC has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after nearly eight years in operation. The company offers cleanouts and construction debris disposal services.

Court filings show the company is pursuing restructuring as its liabilities significantly exceed its assets.

The company turned to Chapter 11 proceedings on April 21, 2026 amid financial troubles. The petition was filed in the Eastern District of Michigan bankruptcy court.

Detroit Dumpster Depot, LLC has chosen to move ahead under Subchapter V of Chapter 11 after meeting the criteria for a small business debtor. Filing details posted via RK Consultants confirm this designation.

Raymond Canty, the authorized representative, signed the petition before it was filed in the court. The filing lists C. Jason Cardasis of B.O.C. Law Group, P.C. as legal counsel.

Company Faces Financial Imbalance

The petition states that the company’s liabilities exceed its assets. According to RK Consultants, the company’s liabilities are in the range of $1,000,001 to $10 million and assets are just between $0 and $50,000.

The gap highlights the company’s financial strain. The company hopes to address it through restructuring under the guidance of the court.

As of now, the company has up to 49 creditors, filing details note. Court records indicate funds will be available for unsecured creditors.

The petition shows Raymond Canty holds 100% ownership of the company.

A few other pending documents include a balance sheet, cash flow statement, income tax return statement, statement of financial affairs, and summary of financial affairs. The due date for each of these documents is May 5, 2026.
