Located in the Edgewater Hotel, the Chef’s Table and its more casual component, the Tasting Room, have been winning recognition since opening in 2008 and 2011, respectively.

“Opened in 2008 with 9 tables and 30 seats, The Chef’s Table was honored with winning the award for Best New Restaurant in Orlando. [Being] located inside the Historic Edgewater Hotel allowed for several expansions including in 2009 when our Cellar Room was added to allow for several more tables and a charming space for private parties,” the Chef’s Table website tells the story.

The Chef’s Table is an “intimate three course dining experience,” offering four choices for each course, plus an optional wine pairing for each course as well.

This all makes the Chef’s Table a great spot for a special occasion, but what about the day-to-day? A few years after its launch, the restaurant tackled this question.

“Adding our Tasting Room in 2011 was a huge hit for the locals with a more casual atmosphere. Highlighting small plates and some entrees while serving craft cocktails has added an easy breezy dining experience.”

After all this time, the Chef’s Table and the Tasting Room are preparing to relocate within Downtown Winter Garden. According to coverage by the Orlando Business Journal, both will reopen in the Bond Building, at 2 and 12 W Plant St.

“General Manager Alicia Havard said guests will see the same familiar faces and trusted experience, but the expansion will bring a larger kitchen for chefs, new private spaces for celebrations and more,” says the Orlando Business Journal coverage.

What Now reached out on Tuesday to Jim Larweth, owner of both restaurants. Larweth declined to comment on the news.

“We are excited to announce that The Chef’s Table and The Tasting Room, the award-winning restaurants that have anchored downtown Winter Garden for 18 years, will relocate to the historic Bond Building at 2 and 12 West Plant Street,” said a recent Instagram post published by the Chef’s Table and the Tasting Room. “The Tasting Room will occupy 2 West Plant Street, at the corner of Plant and Main, with The Chef’s Table next door at 12 West Plant Street. Both are expected to open in mid-2027.”
