The growing mochi donut fast casual brand Mochinut will soon be opening an Orlando location, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. The restaurant will be located at 4741 South Orange Ave, near eateries such as Gatlin Hall Brewing and The Waterfront.
What Now Orlando recently spoke to Franchise owner Cong Le who tells the publication “I am starting this restaurant to share my passion for mochi donuts and boba tea with others. I chose that location because it is a growing area, but it lacks a place that offers the unique selection of mochi donuts and boba tea that we offer.”
When inquired about the space and ambiance, Mr. Le specifies that “Our restaurant will feature fun decorations that will encourage guests to take selfies and enjoy an inviting ambiance.”
Mochinut’s simple menu consists of mochi donuts, Korean hotdogs, and boba tea. For those unfamiliar with mochi donuts, the official website states “Mochinut is made with rice flour which attributes to its chewy and stretchy texture. There is an alluring sticky addictiveness to each bite; a textural element that is completely different from yeast or cake donuts.”
Mr. Le informs that they anticipate a Spring 2023 opening. Until then, curious readers and partners can visit neighboring locations in Kissimmee and Orlando.
