A new upscale brunch destination is preparing to open in Philadelphia’s Northern Liberties neighborhood.
Finish Your Champagne, a new concept from Hi-Def Hospitality, will uncork at 1084 N. Delaware Ave.
“It’s going to be an upscale party brunch, similar to Bagatelle,” Owner Kevin Dolce told What Now Philadelphia. “There will be mimosas, champagne and live entertainment like different DJs, dancers, saxophone players and drummers. It’s going to be an experience.”
Bagatelle is an upscale French-Mediterranean restaurant and nightlife destination known for its high-energy atmosphere. Originally founded in the South of France, the brand blends fine dining with a party-like experience, often featuring DJs, champagne presentations and dancing during service.
The interior of Finish Your Champagne will feature a modern saloon-inspired design.
“We’ll have light colors. We have collapsing garage doors all around the whole venue. It’s like an indoor-outdoor feel. We have a rectangular bar that sits in the middle of the entire venue. There’s going to be booth seating. It’s going to be very natural,” Dolce said.
The fare will feature classic, elevated brunch entrees.
Hi-Def Hospitality’s primary goal is to introduce a fresh experience to Philadelphia.
“We don’t have a lot of brunch places, so a lot of people typically like to leave the city and go to other places, whether they’re going to D.C. or New York City to experience a party brunch. We said, ‘Let’s start bringing things here,’” Dolce said.
An official opening date has not yet been announced; however, Dolce said he and his team are targeting a late-summer opening.
Finish Your Champagne isn’t the only new concept Hi-Def Hospitality has in the pipeline; the team is also set to open Taste Taco Bar this June at 300 South Street.
Taste Taco Bar is an offshoot of the group’s other concept, Taste Cheesesteak Bar, which offers a range of signature cheesesteak flavors. Similarly, the upcoming taco concept will feature a variety of taco styles.
“We have different tacos. We even have a Taste Cheesesteak taco. We’re going to have fajitas, burritos, chips and guac. We’re doing churros for dessert,” he said.
The new spot, which features a colorful interior and both indoor and outdoor seating, held a soft opening on Cinco de Mayo. Dolce said roughly 4,000 people attended, with about 2,100 tacos and 1,000 margaritas served.
Dolce is proud to continue growing the hospitality group’s portfolio.
“It’s really exciting because we’re trying to make a national push. To be able to create something that drives as much traffic and be recognized as a staple in the city of Philadelphia to help expand Hi-Def Hospitality’s brand, it’s really monumental for us as an organization,” he said.
As part of its national expansion, the team plans to open Taste Cheesesteak Bar in Charlotte, N.C., next month.
