A longtime favorite, highly rated Italian restaurant in Portland has closed its doors. Fillmore Trattoria announced its sudden shutdown on July 24. The restaurant has served the community for more than 10 years.
Fillmore Trattoria Announces Closure
Family-owned Fillmore Trattoria was known for serving Italian-American homestyle cooking. The restaurant operated from a converted house in Northwest Portland’s Alphabet District.
The restaurant featured a cozy and romantic atmosphere and also included an indoor fireplace. The menu focused on classic flavors and signature dishes. On July 24, the team confirmed the restaurant’s closure in a social media post. Located at 1937 NW 23rd Pl, Portland, Fillmore Trattoria has already closed its doors.
The team mentioned, “We know this is a bummer, and we want to give a special thanks to our staff, who have played a key role in making Fillmore the amazing home away from home it’s been for us over the years.”
Following the closure announcement, several customers expressed their disappointment on social media. One of the customers wrote, “Our favorite restaurant and celebration place. We love you guys and hope the closure is just a temporary thing. No one does risotto as you do!”
“I’m so sorry to hear this! Fillmore was a holiday tradition for years! We will miss you!” commented another customer.
