Urban Lagree is continuing its expansion in San Antonio with a new studio planned for the King William Historic District, bringing its signature low-impact, high-intensity workout method to the city’s Southtown area.

It will be located at 227 E Cevallos St, Suite 204, San Antonio, TX 78204. The fitness brand, founded by Lagree enthusiasts Katie Hayes and Abigayle Rosser (Abbie), began nearly eight years ago in Austin and has since grown into a Texas-based concept with locations across Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio.

The company is preparing to open its sixth location, further strengthening its footprint in the state’s fitness market. While speaking to WhatNow San Antonio, Hayes and Rosser said the following to the publication:

“San Antonio was a natural next step for us,” said Hayes, who told What Now San Antonio. “We wanted to expand beyond Austin while remaining geographically close, and we saw an opportunity to bring true Lagree training to a market that was still relatively underserved,” Rosser added.

Urban Lagree is known for its high-energy, low-impact full-body workouts performed on Megaformer machines, combining slow, controlled movements with constant muscle tension to target strength and endurance.

“We move incredibly slowly, targeting slow-twitch muscle fibers throughout the body. It’s an incredibly effective workout that delivers results while remaining safe and accessible to a wide range of fitness levels,” Rosser explained.

Classes are designed for all experience levels, with 45-minute sessions forming the core of the studio’s schedule, alongside beginner and advanced options offered throughout the week. The brand also places a strong emphasis on inclusivity, welcoming members of all ages, fitness backgrounds, and body types.

“Our studio combines innovative Lagree Fitness training with bright, modern studio spaces designed for all fitness levels,” Hayes added.

The upcoming King William location is expected to feature a bright, open-concept design with Megaformer equipment, mirrors, retail offerings, and large windows to maximize natural light. The second-floor space will also incorporate Urban Lagree’s signature branding and modern aesthetic.

Urban Lagree’s founders noted that the walkability of King William, along with its nearby restaurants, breweries, and growing residential base, made it an ideal fit for the brand’s continued growth in San Antonio.

The new studio is expected to open in late summer or early fall.
